Who we are
These terms apply to furniture ordered from VK Furnitures, a furniture manufacturer and retailer operating from Johannesburg, Gauteng and delivering across South Africa.
Quotes and prices
Prices shown on this website are for the furniture only and exclude delivery. They are the prices we build to at the time of publication and may change if material costs change. A quote we send you is valid for fourteen days unless we state otherwise in the quote.
Orders and deposits
Nothing on this website is a checkout. Adding items to your selection and sending them to us on WhatsApp is an enquiry, not a purchase. An order is confirmed once we have agreed the specification, the total and the delivery cost with you and received the agreed deposit. The deposit covers fabric cut specifically for your order and is not refundable once cutting has started.
Build times
Build windows quoted are in working days and start from the date the deposit is received and the fabric is confirmed. Delays caused by fabric availability or by a change you request after the order is placed will move the date, and we will tell you as soon as we know.
Delivery
Delivery is quoted per suburb. Someone over eighteen must be present to receive and check the furniture. Please make sure the route into the room is clear and that the doorways can take the piece; we ask for those measurements up front for this reason. Where access makes delivery impossible, a re-delivery may be charged.
Checking your furniture
Check the piece on delivery and tell the delivery team about any transit damage before they leave. We will repair or replace anything damaged in transit.
Guarantee
We guarantee the frame for twelve months from delivery against manufacturing failure. The guarantee does not cover normal wear on fabric and foam, damage from misuse, pets, burns, spills, or furniture that has been altered or repaired by someone else.
Custom and made-to-order work
All our furniture is made to order in the fabric you choose, so it cannot be returned simply because you changed your mind about the colour. This is why we send samples before cutting. Faults in workmanship are a different matter and we will always put those right.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act.
