Furniture Manufacturing

Everything we sell starts as timber, foam and a roll of fabric on our workshop floor. Manufacturing is the part of the business we control end to end, which is what lets us hold the prices where they are.

We cut frames from kiln-dried pine and hardwood, because timber that has not been dried properly moves once it sits in a warm lounge and takes the upholstery with it. Joints are glued and screwed, corner blocks go into every load-bearing corner, and the assembled frame is squared before it leaves the bench.

Suspension is chosen per design. A Chesterfield gets a serpentine spring base so the seat has that slight give under weight; a daybed platform is webbed for a firmer, flatter feel. Seat foam is high density and cut to our templates, and the back cushions are fibre-wrapped so they stay soft without going flat.

The upholstery stage is entirely by hand. Fabric is cut with the nap running the same way across every panel, stretched, stapled, and then buttoned and studded where the design calls for it. The last step is legs, a full inspection and wrapping for transit.
